Major carriers disclose EU ETS fees

Starting in January 2024, the EU ETS (Emissions Trading System) will apply to all shipments within EU waters or that start or end their journey at EU ports. The system will regulate carbon emissions through a phased-in cap-and-trade system. Maersk, Hapag-Lloyd, and CMA CGM have announced their initial proposed fees.
