Executive Order Targets False “Made in America” Claims

President Trump signed an executive order aimed at combating fraudulent “Made in America” claims by foreign manufacturers and sellers.

The order directs the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) to prioritize enforcement against false claims, explores new regulations for online marketplaces, and encourages agencies to strengthen oversight of country-of-origin labeling.
