Executive Order Delays Tariff Hikes

On August 11, President Trump issued an executive order postponing planned tariff increases on imports from China for 90 days, citing progress in trade negotiations. Under the order, the U.S. and China will maintain reduced reciprocal tariffs until November 10, while broader duties remain in effect.
Both countries have already begun reducing tariffs following meetings in Geneva.

Currently, U.S. tariffs on Chinese imports remain at 30% (down from 145%), while China’s tariffs on U.S. goods remain at 10% (down from 125%).

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has released guidance in response to these changes.
