US import volumes decline across the board in April

April figures showed more softening in the US ocean import market as West Coast ports saw a 22% decline in container imports YoY while East Coast ports posted a 20% drop.  The Port of New York & New Jersey inched closer to overtaking Los Angeles in monthly volume rankings.
