US West Coast ports reach tentative labor agreement

A tentative contract agreement has been reached between the International Longshore and Warehouse Union (ILWU) and the Pacific Maritime Association (PMA), potentially bringing an end to the ongoing disruptions at the ports. According to Port of Los Angeles Executive Director Gene Seroka, the agreement “brings the stability and confidence that customers have been seeking.”  The ILWU and PMA declined to provide details on the agreement at this time.
