The U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) has launched a Section 301 investigation into 60 countries for failing to enforce or adopt effective bans on imports made with forced labor.
The investigations aim to determine whether these countries’ policies and practices, their failure to enforce such bans, are harmful to U.S. commerce.
Public hearings are scheduled for April 28, with written comments due by April 15.
