Port Houston, LA Report Volume Gains

In February 2026, Port Houston saw a 4% increase in activity, with year-to-date volumes up 5%. Export volumes grew by 5%, and imports rose by 3%. Dry and liquid bulk volumes experienced notable growth, increasing by 28% and 31%, respectively.

The Port of Los Angeles recorded its second-busiest month in history, reflecting a 3% increase from the previous year. While March is expected to see stable traffic, some inventory replenishment for spring and summer goods is anticipated. The outlook remains influenced by global uncertainties, including the Iran conflict and trade policy changes, but no disruptions to U.S. cargo flows are currently expected.
