One year after initiating an investigation into Spain’s restrictions on certain U.S.-flagged vessels, the Federal Maritime Commission (FMC) is evaluating potential responses. These may include measures such as fines or cargo and voyage limitations related to Spanish-linked shipping.
Citing concerns related to conditions affecting U.S. foreign commerce, the FMC has invited public comment to gather additional information and to help determine whether any actions are warranted.
