The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is intensifying its review of food import entries amid growing concerns over the inaccurate identification of the “FSV Importer” on entry documents. This effort is part of the FDA’s ongoing work to enforce the Foreign Supplier Verification Program (FSVP) regulations, ensuring that U.S. importers meet food safety standards for products entering the country.
To raise awareness, the FDA has issued a CSMS message reminding importers and brokers of the entry requirements.
