The U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) is accepting comments until January 7, 2026, on the implementation of the U.S.–Mexico–Canada Agreement (USMCA) concerning automotive goods.
USTR is seeking input on compliance with automotive rules of origin, including regional value content, labor value content, steel and aluminum purchase requirements, and alternative staging regimes. The results of this review are expected to be submitted to Congress by July 1, 2026.
