The International Trade Commission (USITC) launched an investigation on August 12 to recommend updates to the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) in line with World Customs Organization changes to the global Harmonized System.
The USITC expects to release preliminary draft modifications for public comment in February 2026 and will finalize the updates, submitting a report to the President by September 2026.
