WTO Rules Against U.S. Section 232 tariffs

The World Trade Organization (WTO) released its finding that the Section 232 tariffs on imports of steel and aluminum have violated WTO rules as they were not imposed “in time of war or other emergency in international relations.”  No immediate changes are expected as the U.S. strongly pushed back on the finding and will likely appeal.
