U.S. – India Deal to Reduce Tariffs

On February 6, the U.S. and India announced the conclusion of a framework for an interim trade agreement, marking a step toward a broader bilateral deal. In connection with this, President Trump issued an executive order removing the 25% tariff on Indian imports that had been imposed due to India’s purchases of Russian oil.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has issued updated guidance on the executive order, including instructions for correcting previously filed entries affected by the now-repealed duties.
