The U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) announced that the U.S. will lift certain tariffs on imports from El Salvador under a new reciprocal trade agreement. The deal, complementing the CAFTA-DR free trade agreement, will eliminate tariffs on goods from El Salvador that cannot be sufficiently produced in the U.S. The agreement will take effect once both parties complete the required legal procedures.
