Section 232 Tariff Increases on Furniture Postponed

President Trump signed a proclamation on December 31 postponing for one year the scheduled Section 232 tariff increases on imports of upholstered furniture, kitchen cabinets, and vanities that were set to take effect on January 1, 2026.

While the increase has been delayed, the existing 25% import tariff established under the September 25, 2025 proclamation remains in effect
