U.S. railroad labor contract tensions resurface

After 56% of the Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way Employees Division (BMWED) members rejected the labor contract proposal by U.S. railroads, the union will go back to the negotiating table. If a deal cannot be reached, a potential strike could start after Nov. 14. Working conditions and time off remain as critical items.
