The Georgia Ports Authority Board has approved a plan to accommodate Savannah’s expanding container operations. The project will start in January 2023, with the completion of the entire terminal redevelopment expected in 2026. Breakbulk cargo will shift to the Colonel’s Island terminal at the Port of Brunswick.
