October Sees Decline in U.S. – Bound Imports

U.S. – bound containerized freight imports fell 3.4% year-over-year in October, continuing a recent downward trend. Year-to-date through October, imports remain up 2.5% annually.

Imports from Asia, especially China, are expected to decline sharply, while EU imports may see modest gains following a recent trade deal.
