CBP’s Annual Summit: A Key Event for Trade and Security

The 2025 U.S. Customs & Border Security Trade Facilitation and Cargo Security Summit is scheduled for May 6-8 in New Orleans, LA.

The annual Summit marks the premier CBP Office of Trade event of the year, where CBP invites parties from across the international supply chain to hear directly from the strategists and decision makers guiding CBP trade and security frameworks and to engage in meaningful conversation and discourse throughout the duration of the 3-day event.

Given the administration’s dynamic approach to trade policy, this year’s event is sure to be action packed. Although trade talk will likely take center stage, the Summit also promotes the Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (CTPAT). Now in it’s 24th year, CTPAT continues to evolve and grow. More than 11,400 certified partners have been accepted into the program and leverage benefits including reduced targeting scores, FAST lane access, and collaboration with a direct CBP Supply Chain Security Specialist.

Registration has yet to open; notices are typically sent roughly 1 month in advance of the event. In person capacity is sure to sell out quickly so stay tuned. A virtual option had also been made available in recent year.
If you plan to be in Louisiana, please reach out to your CH Powell contact as we will have representatives on hand and always appreciate the opportunity to meet face to face.

Whether you attend in-person or online, we encourage you to join the Summit to get a firsthand perspective on the future of Trade and Security. If you can’t attend, we are here to help you stay informed as future editions of Powell Points will include highlights from the Summit.
